ADHD Assessments

Neuro-affirming Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Assessments

Our ADHD assessments are designed to build a clear and holistic understanding of a child’s attention profile, behaviour patterns, strengths, and support needs. Information is gathered from multiple sources to ensure an accurate and balanced view of the child’s presentation across home, school, and social settings.

We believe that understanding your child’s neurotype should be an empowering experience.

Our ADHD assessments are thorough, clinical, and neurodiversity-affirming. We move beyond simple checklists to provide you with deep insight into your child’s strengths, needs, and how they experience the world around them.

Our multidisciplinary team is highly experienced and uses gold-standard diagnostic protocols to ensure you receive a robust and recognised diagnosis.

How the Assessment Works

We gather evidence from multiple sources to ensure we see the ‘whole child’, not just a snapshot in a clinical room.

  • Clinical Assessment: your child will attend a face-to-face session that includes the Diagnostic Interview for ADHD (DIVA) and a Continuous Performance Test (CPT). These tools help us understand attention, impulsivity, and activity levels, and how these present in everyday life. You are also welcome to attend as an informant to provide additional relevant information about their presentation.
  • Developmental & Behavioural History: parents or carers complete a detailed developmental history interview and psychometric questionnaires. This helps us build a clear picture of early milestones, behaviour patterns, emotional regulation, and everyday functioning.
  • School & Educational Context: we speak directly with school staff who know your child well. If your child is not currently in school, we review any available reports or relevant information. This allows us to understand how your child presents in an educational setting compared to home.
  • Psychometric Measures: you will be invited to complete a set of psychometric assessments. These help us map out your child’s attention profile, executive functioning, and behavioural patterns across different environments.

After the Assessment

Once the information gathering is complete, our team collates the findings into a comprehensive diagnostic report.

  • Detailed Reporting: you’ll receive a full report including a diagnosis (if applicable), a summary of strengths, and clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Parent Feedback Call: we schedule a dedicated time to walk you through the findings, answer your questions, and support you in planning the next steps.
  • Child-Friendly Feedback: we provide a feedback session designed specifically for your child. This helps them understand the outcome in a positive, safe, and age-appropriate way.
