About me
I’m a creative integrative psychotherapist. I trained at IATE, The Institute for the Arts in Therapy and Education, where we learned to tune into people’s creativity to uncover our unconscious thoughts and feelings. I use a range of creative mediums, including paints, sand tray, clay, music and movement, as well as metaphor and the imagination. Everyone has creativity in them, whether they know it or not!
I work at Family Futures with parents, with children and young people, and with whole families. My approach is to work with each person’s uniqueness; we are all different and that is to be welcomed and valued. I really enjoy working with every member of the Family Futures team – we all bring our different trainings and experiences to the job!
I have many years of adoption experience, which adds great value to my work at Family Futures. I also trained as both a general health and a mental health nurse, which bring a lot to my role as a psychotherapist, helping me to see and understand the whole person and not just what is presenting on the surface
