About me

I have been working with traumatised children since 1989 and am passionate about using arts, play, and body-based approaches to support care-experienced children and their families in their healing journeys.

I’m proud to be a co-founder of Family Futures, a leading therapy centre for care-experienced children and their families. Since we began in 1998, our pioneering assessment and therapy service has helped thousands of families recover from early life trauma and abuse.

My extensive clinical experience has shaped the Family Futures therapy model, Neuro Physiological Psychotherapy (NPP)—a neuro-sequential and research-evidenced approach that integrates multiple disciplines. NPP significantly improves outcomes for children with high levels of trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences, and it places the brain–body connection at the centre of the healing process, which is fundamental to my work.

I am a qualified Dramatherapist, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and Theraplay Practitioner. I also train and supervise professionals in these approaches. Alongside my clinical work, I continue to advocate for children, offer training, and have published work in this field.
