‍

Are you working with or supporting children recovering from childhood trauma?

Are you supporting children recovering from trauma? Family Futures’ NPP (Neuro-Physiological Psychotherapy) training will equip you with a proven, evidence-based framework to help care-experienced children heal and thrive.

NPP is a practical framework that can be used by professionals across disciplines. It is not a therapy qualification. It is the ground breaking Family Futures therapy model, developed over the past 25 years, with proven, consistently positive outcomes for children and families.

It is child-centred and holistic, enabling you to select the most appropriate intervention to support different levels of the brain and the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS), depending on the individual needs of each child you are working with.

In this training, you’ll learn how to track a child’s ANS & stress responses and decide when it’s most appropriate to use body based approaches, attachment enhancing approaches or reflective talking therapies or a blend of these.

‍

Listen to the story of NPP here – why was it developed and how does it help children? Pondering pods – NPP, the Family Futures therapy model

‍

Jay Vaughan co-founder of NPP and your NPP course trainer explains:

“It isn’t just how we think and feel about the world that is impacted by trauma, it’s the physiology of the body…The name Neuro Physiological Psychotherapy, for us conveyed the importance of working with the body and brain together to help traumatised children.”

‍
