Before joining Family Futures, I spent 14 plus years working as a Facilities Coordinator. This gave me a broad background in looking after buildings, coordinating contractors, organising office services and dealing with all the unexpected things that crop up during a working day.
I enjoy travelling, live music, facials, movies, catching up with friends and discovering new places to visit. I also love interiors and quite happily spend hours looking for ideas and special pieces that give a space warmth and personality.
No two days are ever quite the same in my role and that’s probably an understatement! On any given day, I might be welcoming people at reception, arranging repairs, chasing contractors, weeding the garden, or filling up our biscuit tin, sometimes all before lunch. I’m usually the person people come to when something needs fixing, finding or making a little nicer, and I’m always looking for ways to make our space feel warm and inviting.
What I enjoy most is seeing the difference these changes make, especially when a child or family walks into a room and immediately feels comfortable. I take real pride in making sure Family Futures feels cared for, organised and welcoming. I’m naturally someone who likes to get things sorted, and knowing my work helps the wider team support families is what keeps me motivated.
