I am an Educational Psychotherapist and former teacher, and I have been part of the Family Futures team since 2015. As a therapist, my priority is to support the children and families I work with, always prioritising what is most helpful for them at each stage of the process.

Central to my practice is a commitment to truly understanding the unique needs of each individual. One of my key goals is to creatively adapt the way I work to meet those needs, while cultivating an atmosphere of emotional safety. I strive to create a space where both children and adults can feel free to be themselves, and where trusting, therapeutic relationships can grow over time.
I see play as a vital tool for emotional development, self-expression and healing. For this reason, I actively encourage the children and the adults I work with to embrace playfulness not just in therapy, but in their everyday lives and relationships. I believe that play can open up new ways of understanding ourselves and connecting with others.

Before training as an Educational Psychotherapist, I worked as a teacher in Spain and the United Kingdom. This background continues to inform my work, particularly my commitment to supporting children who are often misunderstood or marginalised in mainstream settings.

As a neurodivergent person with ADHD, I bring lived experience to my work that deepens my understanding of what it can feel like to navigate the world with a brain that works differently. I also have extensive training in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD, including their distinct characteristics, how they may present differently in individuals, and how they can coexist in complex ways. Additionally, I have a strong foundation in neurodiversity more broadly, and I focus on understanding and affirming neurodivergent identities and experiences within the therapeutic context.

I am a neurodiversity-affirming practitioner, which means I do not view neurodivergence as something to be "fixed" or "corrected," but as a natural and valuable part of human differences. My aim is to help clients embrace their identity, feel truly seen and accepted, and find strategies that support their wellbeing in therapy, in school, at home and in the wider world.
