Our gold-standard multidisciplinary assessment, which looks holistically at your child. It's rooted in our belief that children often need several disciplines considering their needs, so the right decisions can be made about support, therapy, or further specialist assessment. This in-depth assessment of need is for children who are adopted, under Special Guardianship Order / in kinship care, or fostered children.
What to expect
This includes a 2-2.5 hour in-person assessment, an occupational therapy sensory integration screening alongside psychometric measures completed by parents, school and, where appropriate, your child. Your child has their own dedicated assessment session; parents or carers have a separate consultation session of at least 1.5 hours; the parent-child relationship is explored through a Theraplay® MIM assessment; and a family session brings all these threads together.
