Young People’s ForumPosted in: Events
We held our special Young People’s Forum event on 6th June on the subject of Bullying; we wanted to give our young people their say when it comes to anti-bullying… We delivered a truly interactive session, with lots of discussion combined with bundles of creativity.
Our guest animator Tim Hawkins attended the forum and will be using the insights gathered from the day to create our very own anti-bullying animation. Please note the premiere of the animation will no longer be held on Saturday 4th July – watch this space for more information…
Alan Burnell, Registered Manager at Family Futures, said “bullying is widely talked about in the media, but we were keen to specifically raise the awareness of bullying amongst adopted and looked after children; as it is an issue we hear time and time again in our therapy sessions and something we really wanted to address. We hope that an increase in awareness will make bullies think twice and instead, be more understanding to these children who have not had the best start in life”.
