1. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

familyfutures.co.uk is provided by Family Futures Consortium Ltd (Company Registered Number 3571649) under these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of familyfutures.co.uk and govern all services provided to you by Family Futures Consortium Ltd in connection with familyfutures.co.uk, such as access to message boards.

2. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time without notice to you. Please check the Terms and Conditions periodically to see whether a change has been made to them. Occasionally Family Futures Consortium Ltd may supplement these Terms and Conditions. 

3. Bulleting Board Access

Some elements of familyfutures.co.uk may be viewed by anyone, however, to access some services, e.g. our bulleting board for parents and children.  These sites are exclusively for parents and children who are currently receiving a service from Family Futures Consortium Ltd and can only be accessed via a password.

4. Password

Families who are currently receiving services from Family Futures Consortium Ltd will be given a password which must be kept confidential at all times.  Password holders will be deemed responsible. You will be deemed responsible for all activities that occur under your password. If you know or suspect that someone else knows your password you should notify us immediately.

5. Your use of familyfutures.co.uk

5.1 Family Futures Consortium Ltd does not necessarily endorse the views expressed by users, on our bulleting boards. You alone are responsible for the content of any bulletin’s posted on familyfutures.co.uk and the consequences of any bulletins. By using familyfutures.co.uk  you agree to comply with the following guidelines:

(a) familyfutures.co.uk is to be used for your personal use only and cannot be used for commercial, political, illegal or any spurious reasons.

(b) familyfutures.co.uk may not be used to send chain letters, junk mail, 'spam', solicitations or bulk communications of any kind unless the recipient has given specific permission to be included in such a list.

(c) You may not post to familyfutures.co.uk any message or material that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, profane, threatening, racially or sexually or otherwise discriminatory, offensive, inaccurate, in breach of confidence or a third party's intellectual property rights or which otherwise includes objectionable material of any kind or nature, that encourages or engages in conduct that could constitute a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any applicable local, national or international law or regulation or which has a disruptive influence on the normal flow of a bulletin board. You must not impersonate any other person or entity, whether actual or fictitious. If you feel that any of the terms and conditions have been broken by users please inform us immediately via our Office Manager.

(d) You must not post any identifying information other than a first name and an email address at which you would be happy to be contacted by other viewers of the bulletin board. No identifying information, land addresses or telephone numbers pertaining to yourself, any of your family members or children who are adopted or fostered, or any individual at all should be posted on any bulletin board on familyfutures.co.uk. 

(e) You must not use familyfutures.co.uk in a way that might reasonably be expected to cause the same to be interrupted, damaged, rendered less efficient or which could in any way damage the operation of another's computer.

(f) familyfutures.co.uk reserves the right in its absolute discretion at any time to edit, alter, delete or move any material whatsoever posted to, appearing on or distributed by familyfutures.co.uk and you.

6. Intellectual Property

(a) Family Futures Consortium Ltd owns the copyright of, and other intellectual property rights, in familyfutures.co.uk and its contents. "Rights" means copyright, database rights, trade marks, design rights and other intellectual and proprietary rights of whatever nature, anywhere in the world. You acknowledge that (i) familyfutures.co.uk is protected by these Rights; (ii) these Rights are valid and protected in all media and technologies existing now or later developed; and (iii) except as explicitly provided otherwise, these Terms and Conditions and applicable copyright, trademark and other laws govern your use of such Rights.

(b) You may view, print, download or store extracts from familyfutures.co.uk for your personal, non-commercial reference without alteration, addition or deletion. You may not otherwise copy, replicate, retransmit, distribute, publish, commercially exploit or otherwise transfer any familyfutures.co.uk material or content without prior consent.

7. Non-Personally Identifiable Information

Aggregate or summary information is collected automatically by our system e.g. number of visitors to the site. In order to do this we may need to send cookies to your PC.  This information is used to monitor use of the web site and will not contain information that can identify you as an individual.

8. Third Party Sites

This web site may contain links to other web sites.  Please be notified that Family Futures Consortium Ltd cannot be held responsible for the privacy practices of other web sites.  We encourage all visitors to be aware and read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information.

9. Cookies

A cookie is a small text file on the user’s browser and hard drive that uniquely identifies the user’s browser.  There are two types of cookies: persistent cookies and session cookies.  Session cookies are temporary and are erased when the browser exits. Persistent cookies remain on the user’s hard drive until the user erases them or until they expire.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Familyfutures.co.uk will make every effort to ensure that all information given is true, accurate and complete however Family Futures Consortium is not responsible for any errors or omissions or for the results obtained from the use of such information. Your participation in familyfutures.co.uk is solely at your own risk. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained by you from Family Futures or through familyfutures.co.uk shall create any warranty not expressly made in these terms of service or imposed by law

11. Limitations of Liability

Except as required by law, Family Futures Consortium Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses or damages or loss of profits, data, goodwill, revenue in each case regardless of whether such losses or damages arise in the normal course of events or whether Family Futures Consortium Ltd has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Family Futures Consortium Ltd will not be liable for any such losses or damages whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise arising out of or in connection with this website including without limitation the use or the inability to use familyfutures.co.uk, or bulletin’s received, or transactions entered into through familyfutures.co.uk, or resulting from unauthorised access to or alteration of your transmissions or data

12. Breach of these Terms and Conditions

Family Futures Consortium Ltd will be entitled to deny you access to familyfutures.co.uk or take such other action if you are in breach of any of the Terms and Conditions or if your use of familyfutures.co.uk is deemed inappropriate. The termination of our service pursuant to this section will be without prejudice to any rights which Family Futures Consortium may have against you in respect of your breach of these Terms of Service. Family Futures shall be entitled to disclose your user identity and details if required or requested by the courts or other law enforcement authorities and/or agencies or in such other circumstances as Family Futures Consortium Ltd in its sole discretion considers reasonably necessary or appropriate.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold each of Family Futures Consortium Ltd, employees and consultant, harmless from any claim, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or occurring out of your use of familyfutures.co.uk the violation of these Terms and Conditions by you, or the infringement by you, or any other person found to be using your password, or of any intellectual property or other right of any other person or entity.

14. Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Services will only be provided by Family Futures on the following conditions:
    • A contract of engagement has been completed and payment for fees authorised.
    • Payment of our invoice is made in advance of services being provided (unless otherwise negotiated)
    • Payment of Invoice is made within 30 days of receipt.
  • Agencies agree to provide Family Futures with case material and information as required.
  • Family Futures seek to provide open access to services.
  • Information shared with Family Futures staff by an individual receiving our services is to be regarded as confidential.  Only matters relating to child protection concerns would be conveyed to the relevant authorities without the consent of the individual concerned.
  • Parents are regarded by Family Futures to be responsible for the care of their children or children in their care at all times.
  • A copy of any report, assessment or evaluation commissioned by any agency will also be sent to the family concerned.
  • Staff of Family Futures have professional indemnity insurance cover.
  • Premises used by Family Futures are covered by Public Liability Insurance to the value £5,000,000 (Five Million Pounds) and Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of £2.000.000 (Two Million Pounds) Any higher amount required by a commissioning agent should be negotiated at the point of commissioning.
  • Family Futures Consortium Ltd is a Registered Adoption Support Agency and adheres to the Adoption Support Agencies (England) and Adoption Agencies (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2005 No.2720.  Anyone wishing to see copies of any of our polices covered by these regulations should contact our Office Manager.
  • All staff at Family Futures are professionally supervised and supported and are in therapy themselves in order to ensure the highest standards of professional practice.
  • Family Futures adheres to the British Association of Counsellors Code of Ethics.
