Family Futures Assessment Service top
Family Futures' Assessment Service is a comprehensive, integrated, multi-disciplinary model designed to address the complex needs of children who have experienced early trauma and have attachment difficulties. It is specifically designed to look at the following:

  • Assessments of children where the placement is in crisis
  • Assessments of children where parents or professionals have recognised difficulties which might have a negative impact on the placement
  • Assessments to determine the therapeutic needs of children and their families
  • Guardian or Local Authority requested court assessments to recommend care plans and contact arrangements
  • Local Authority commissioned assessments of care plans, matches, sibling placements, contact arrangements and therapeutic programmes
  • Health Authority commissioned assessments for diagnosis and treatment programmes

Family Futures' Assessments are holistic because early trauma and attachment difficulties have not only a psychological impact, but also neurological, physiological and developmental consequences all of which are interrelated. We strongly believe that complex problems require a complex response.
