Family Futures Adoption Agency
Family Futures is an Ofsted registered Adoption Agency based in north London working with some of the most traumatised children and their foster or adoptive families in the country. Over the last ten years Family Futures have pioneered work in this field developing an exciting and innovative assessment and treatment programme as well as country wide training and consultation service. Family Futures is known for its successful work in helping children and their families stay together. In the last year Family Futures has developed the i-Adopt Service. This service recruits and supports families throughout the adoption process.

Family Futures are developing their services for the 21st Century and are looking to recruit social workers and therapists, including at a senior practitioner level. Current  Vacancies

Family Services Co-ordinator
Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
Salary scale: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
Responsible to: Therapy Services Manager

Family Futures is an Adoption and Adoption Support Agency that offers a multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment service to families caring for traumatised children with attachment difficulties. It has an established reputation. There is a current full time staff team of 22 people.

The role of the Family Services Co-ordinator is:

  • to book in appointments for families using the computer diary with the appropriate therapy team and rooms
  • to ensure that the files are updated and managed
  • to assist in the compilation of reports
  • to make travel and accommodation arrangements
  • to work as an integrated and collaborative member of the therapy team
  • to ensure the effective and smooth running of the Family Treatment Service

They will be supported in this role by an Assessment Services Co-ordinator and will work closely with the two Deputy Therapy Services Managers.  Our administrative staff are seen as an integral part of the therapy team and work as a collaborative team.

We are looking for:

  • applicants at a graduate level
  • five years previous office experience in a similar therapeutic, legal or medical environment
  • a high level of literacy, computer and organisational skills
  • good people skills

Deputy Therapy Services Manager
Hours: Flexible, 37.5 per week
Salary scale: £40,000-£45,000 including London weighting

Family Futures is a thriving and dynamic adoption and adoption support agency that has been at the forefront of developing post-placement services for children who are fostered or adopted. It has an established reputation as a centre of excellence. Its therapy team is multi-disciplinary and therapists work as a team with a systemic family attachment focused approach. Family Futures has an assessment and treatment programme which is based on theory and research routed in neuro-psycho biology, attachment and the impact of trauma on child development. Our therapy incorporates Dan Hughes’s DDP, Theraplay, Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiences and the Creative Arts.

The post of Deputy would require the post holder:

  • to supervise individual members of the therapy team
  • to supervise and consult with the therapy teams about work in progress
  • to monitor and manage client families, budgets and funding arrangements
  • to attend professional meetings with other agencies
  • to be a member of Family Futures Management Team
  • to, in rotation, fullfil the role of Duty Manager which involves taking Initial Enquiries and taking part in Free Consultations and overseeing the general running of the work
  • to deputise for the Therapy Services Manager in their absence

There are two Deputy Therapy Services Managers posts, with each Manager having a slightly different focus to their work. The focus of this post is on the treatment work and the ongoing therapy programme for families. Only one post is currently vacant.
